As Chief Finance Officer (CFO) you will provide inspiring financial leadership at the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping our future during an exciting phase of development for the ACU. As the chief financial spokesperson for the ACU, lead for the financial management of the organisation and of the Finance, ICT, HR and Facilities, Governance and non-scholarship administration services, you will work with the CEO and COO to drive and deliver the ACU’s ambitious strategic plan. In addition, to £9.5 million ACU income, the CFO also oversees the financial management of circa £85 million of income and expenditure for seven clients.
You will have substantial experience of operating as the financial authority of an organisation and of working in a higher education institution. This will be combined with knowledge of charity and company accounts. You will also have an international perspective and awareness of current trends and practices in ICT, investment management techniques, governance requirements and knowledge and passion for Human Resources, organisational and people development. You must demonstrate a genuine alignment to the ACU’s mission and values as well as an understanding of changing economic, political, and social environments affecting the ACU.
The post will be based in the ACU’s offices in London, WC1H 9HF and the salary is competitive and commensurate with the seniority of the appointment.
