Do you have excellent science writing skills, the ability to identify key elements to build case studies and excellent project management experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Research Impact Team as an Impact Officer. 

Managed by a Research Impact Manager within Research and Innovation Services (RIS), you will work closely with unit of assessment leads, directors of research, impact case study authors and research assistants to support the preparation of impact case studies and information for environment statements for the REF submission in November 2020.

We'd like to hear from you if you can:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, provide editorial advice on case study content and liaise widely with academic staff, demonstrating the ability to interact with staff at all levels to influence outcomes. 
  • Identify impacts, evidence to corroborate impacts claimed, and support on the development and implementation of case study action plans in accordance with REF guidance.
  • Deliver project management expertise alongside an understanding of research impact and experience of working in a research/evaluation environment.
