This is a key role in providing high quality services to students. You will be responsible for the appointment and development of Associate Lecturers who support and present work shop learning, oversee practice placements for students and for overall management of the delivery of the Nursing degree in Northern Ireland. As a full member of academic staff in the Faculty, you will also be expected to contribute to the broader presentation of modules and awards.
You will need a good first degree (upper second or higher) or equivalent or a Post-Graduate qualification in a subject area of relevance to nursing, health and/or social care. You must have a professional qualification in Nursing, current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and experience in supporting practice learning. You will also have a Nursing and Midwifery Council recordable teaching qualification. You will have a sound understanding of the needs of adult learners; the ability to promote the Faculty's modules, programmes and awards to individuals and corporate customers; the skills required to develop and maintain local partnerships; good interpersonal, communication, team working and organisational skills and an understanding of current issues in social work/social care education.
The contract for this job is based out of the Belfast Office, however attendance at meetings in Milton Keynes and wider travel across the whole of the Northern Ireland and in to the South is an essential part of the role.
