UNSW Business School is a leader in business education and research in the Asian region and one of the largest Business Schools in Australia with more than 16,500 students, 500 academic and professional staff and more than 80,000 alumni and partners. The Business School offers a full suite of business degree programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, coursework and research levels, including the AGSM MBA programs and a range of Executive Programs. Its direction is guided by a business advisory council of leading CEOs, chairpersons and other business leaders.

UNSW Business School is currently seeking an Associate Dean, Research. Reporting to the Dean (Professor Chris Styles), the Associate Dean, Research will be responsible for developing strategy and plans to enhance the performance, reputation, rankings and profile of the Business School’s research mission; enabling research which is highly regarded in academic circles for its rigor and is valued by the broader community for its relevance; and achieving research related goals and KPIs for the Business School associated with UNSW’s 2025 strategy.

The appointee will demonstrate the leadership experience, maturity, and strategic thinking required to be an effective member of the Senior Management Team of the Business School and to drive further strengthening of the School’s research capability. They will be highly respected for research output and display a deep appreciation of trends in business and management research globally, as they relate, among others, to quality of research outputs, diversification of grant capture, research relevance, higher degrees research programs, and support of research-active staff.
