The School of Dentistry has now been in operation for ten years. Firmly rooted in Primary Care, we operate across a number of sites in Lancashire and Cumbria. Due to programme expansions, we are now seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, where you will have a dual focus within teaching and research. In addition to influencing overall strategic direction, you will provide operational leadership for the BDS Graduate Entry Couse, working closely with the Director of Undergraduate Studies to ensure the integrated training of all members of the extended dental team.
We require you to have comprehensive clinical experience both in the delivery of restorative dentistry and within teaching and examining in dentistry. In addition, you will be fully registered with the GDC; hold Specialist List membership and be eligible for appointment as an Honorary Consultant in the NHS.
An active researcher, with evidence of peer-reviewed publications, and with excellent clinical and communication skills, you will have the ability to work well within a team and will be IT literate in the use of standard Microsoft packages. The position is based in Preston, and the work will require some regional travel.
