The Boysen - TU Dresden - Research Training Group for Young Researchers from the Engineering, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, co-financed by the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation and Technische Universität Dresden, offers, subject to resources being available, a
in the Cluster A: New Materials for a period of three years starting on 1st January 2019. The interdisciplinary Research Training Group Mobility in flux - Challenges and solutions for technology, environment and society consists of four Clusters.
Tasks: At the Institute of Circuits and Systems the laboratory of Measurement and Sensor Systems is working on novel laser based measurement systems for process and fluid technology. Within the Research Training Group the processing of novel catalyst materials is investigated. This requires the qualification, set-up, characterization and application of optical measurement systems for flow, temperature and pressure inside of a pulsation reactor. The investigations are conducted together with partners from mechanical engineering and chemistry.
Requirements: University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or similar studies; ability for working autonomously and goal-driven within a team; great commitment and good English skills, analytical thinking and taking joy in practical work. The receipt of the scholarship obliges the student to be present at the Research Trainings Group's premises on three fixed core days per week. Participation in the Research Training Group's teaching programme is obligatory.
