We are seeking a talented and committed researcher to contribute to our Cancer Research UK funded Integrative Cancer Epidemiology Programme (ICEP).

Working with the ICEP team, the successful candidate will contribute to research to progress knowledge of biological mechanisms potentially amenable to intervention. Research will involve designing, conducting and analysing epidemiological studies to recall population sub-groups, or their bio-samples (e.g. DNA, serum, urine, tissue), according to genotype for deep phenotyping. This work will complement a related programme of work to undertake systematic reviews of mechanistic studies based on cancer-causing exposures.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful cancer research team, embedded within the larger MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, with strong collaborative links across the University and beyond, including with the cancer research team at Southmead Hospital, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC, France) and other international researchers.

This post is to cover another team member’s maternity leave, and is available until December 2019.
