About the Department of Chemical and Biomedical engineering (CBE)

The CBE School integrates the expertise and capabilities that allows us to set up large-scale tests and deploy promising ideas quickly and broadly. We encompass separations science, energy, material science, the environment, medical devices, medical imaging, drug delivery and food production. The Opportunity

We’ve already been joined by some of the best minds, and we’re now inviting talented Lecturers (Level B) and Senior Lecturers (Level C) with a strong chemical engineering research profile to join our Department of Chemical Engineering. A track record in the following fields is preferred:

  • Energy and sustainability, including catalysis and reactor engineering, separations technology such as solvent extraction, recycling (waste to products), and waste treatment technology
  • Bioresource engineering including food engineering, bioproducts synthesis, and pharmaceuticals

In this prominent permanent position, you will join our academics and will enrich our collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching across our departments.

What you’ll be doing   

In this role you will balance the priorities of developing a strong research portfolio in your field with delivering innovative teaching programs to our graduate and undergraduate students. You will lead the development and delivery of teaching programs for relevant subjects. Applying new and innovative teaching methods you will help our students grow and empower them to unlock their full potential.

You will be an aspiring leader in Chemical Engineering with ambition to publish in top quality journals and conferences, mentor research students, and secure independent grant funding to support a program of research. Your collaboration in research within the School, across the University, and industry as well as government agencies will drive success in this role.
