Faculty / Directorate

The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media. It offers a wide range of courses to other undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines. We have a solid track record of ground-breaking research and in REF2014, nearly 60% of the School's research was considered to be world leading or internationally excellent. As a subject, Computer Science is ranked 309/500 in the Shanghai Ranking of Universities. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research.

Ideal Candidate 

Applicants will be expected to teach within a wide portfolio of topics relating to Computer Science, Programming (C, C++), Computer Games Programming, Intelligent Systems, Robotics, Computer Vision or related disciplines.

You will have expertise and experience in teaching in the higher education in Computer Programming, Games Programming, and Computer Science.
Candidates coming from the industry sector will also be welcome. You will have a degree and ideally a PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Computational Sciences, Engineering. Furthermore ideally you will be able to contribute to the research currently carried out at the School of Computer Science and Informatics.
