Stanford University, Department of Medicine is seeking a Life Science Technician 2 (LST2) to perform basic functions and activities to support research projects, conduct experiments in the Cancer Correlative Science unit (CCSU) and Bone Marrow-Cellular Therapy Facility (BM-CTF).  CCSU/BM-CTF is newly established as a major translational science laboratory performing a range of state-of-the-art assays such as flow cytometry and cell sorting and TCR sequencing to the translational research after Immuno-therapy clinical trials at Stanford.

CCSU/BM-CTF goal is to bridge the knowledge gained from this translational effort to develop new and improved therapies. The CCSU is a dynamic, highly collaborative unit that works towards the goal of the group and fulfilling the need for translational research designed for each clinical trial. 

Under direct supervision, the LST2 will perform flow cytometry, cell sorting and will be responsible for conducting experiments and data. She/he will be involved in preparing data for publication. In addition, the LST2 will work in a dynamic environment where the scientific excellence and development is highly regarded and valued.  The position also includes tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining detailed lab records, and adhering to safety regulations.

At least two years of previous laboratory experience or two years of college coursework in related scientific discipline required.  Solid written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated professionalism in working with colleagues (both internal and external laboratory users). 

Must be capable of and willing to pay strict attention to detail, including following written and oral instruction.  Familiarity with the following experimental techniques required: Flow Cytometry and Cell sorting
