GENERAL MANAGERAudio Visual Services, to provide leadership, strategic planning, oversight, and supervision of daily audio visual operations in support of instructional media and technology systems, events, installations, and system services. Will partner with an established high performing team and key stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and improve administrative back-end operations; and work with staff to sustain existing activities and develop new opportunities in the areas of events, installations, and system service. Responsibilities include providing leadership, direction, and coaching to union and non-union staff; overseeing a 4.5 million dollar budget and managing business processes to ensure timely billing for services; and developing and supporting permanently installed and portable audio, video, projection, control systems, and presentation technologies in classrooms, lecture halls, and meeting spaces.  Will also collaborate with faculty, staff, and vendors to develop and execute plans for new and renovated spaces that incorporate presentation technology systems, and participate in Institute-wide planning for major events that include technology systems.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications-related field; at least five years’ relevant experience; solid functional knowledge of applicable audio/visual technologies; good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; experience with presentation technology support for events in educational/corporate environments; knowledge of operating presentation technology systems’ design, installation, maintenance, and operation; proven ability to lead and motivate staff; and demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer service and continuous improvement and to building positive client connections within a large organization.  Master’s degree in instructional or educational technology and knowledge of audio/visual technology support and applicable service standards preferred.  Job #16769-Q
