This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate to take on this strategic project with the support of mentors from Optimec, Aston University and Innovate UK. By exploiting novel image processing techniques, this project will deliver an innovative range of precision metrology devices for use in ophthalmic and non-ophthalmic manufacturing sectors using Optical Coherence Tomography (30 month fixed term contract.). 

Qualifications we require:

As a minimum, you will hold a masters level degree in Engineering, or related discipline at 2.1 (hons) or above. Experience with image processing, software design and development (MATLAB and LabVIEW), and working experience of process design by specifications. Desirable experience include: 

  • PhD in relevant subject
  • Experience with optical imaging systems
  • Software/hardware integration using manufacturer approved Application Programming Interface (API)
