Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 492496), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or equivalent. They should have a strong background in protein biochemistry/purification and structural biology. Experience in baculovirus and mammalian expression systems is an advantage. The appointee will study the structure and function of large protein complexes involved in DNA replication and chromatin dynamics in yeast and higher eukaryotes. Training on using cryo-Electron Microscopy (cryo-EM) to solve high-resolution structures will be provided. A highly competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
