Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Global Health Policy and Evaluation in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 492408), to commence as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in health policy, health services research, health economics or a related discipline. They should have proven track record of high-quality scholarly research in the respective field, undergraduate/postgraduate teaching, and grant success. Those with experience in global health policy, evaluation, healthcare financing and systems are strongly preferred. For appointment as Associate Professor, applicants should also demonstrate outstanding research achievement, evidence of international recognition, and leadership in teaching, curriculum development and/or research postgraduate education. The appointee is expected to contribute to the established strengths of the School in health systems and policy research, healthcare human resources planning, national health accounts, health equity, cost effectiveness and decision analysis, and global health policy and governance. He/She will play a key role in driving the strategic development of an academic division including research scholarship; teaching and leadership training programmes in global health and development; and contributing to the enhancement and development of medical and health science courses in the Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
