The position is based in the Department of Business Strategy and Innovation (BSI) that will be formally launched on 1 January 2019 (as the successor to the Department of International Business and Asian Studies).
As part of the process of re-positioning the Department in the context of the new strategic vision of the Griffith Business School and the changing academic and professional environment, it will focus on a number of areas of strategic relevance, including innovation and entrepreneurship, information management, international and Asian business, strategy, supply chain management, leadership and sustainability. With more than 30 staff, the Department has a strong and active research focus with a long history of success in securing external research and of successful PhD completions.
As Professor / Associate Professor, you will contribute to the overall culture of high quality engagement, research, and learning and teaching activities within the Department. The role will contribute to the Department's internal and external engagement activities to promote and enhance the Department's core activities in strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship across industry, the wider community and within the university. In addition, the role will be required to undertake research in the area of expertise and contribute to the Department's research outcomes including publications, grants and research impact.
This a full-time, continuing (tenured) position, primarily based at either the Gold Coast or Nathan campus, however the successful applicants may also be required to work across our other campuses.
The successful candidates will possess a PhD in entrepreneurship, business innovation or relevant discipline. You will have an excellent record of publications that will ensure that Griffith continues our outstanding achievements in research. A demonstrated ability to network effectively will ensure that working relationships are improved both internally and with government, industry and community stakeholders. In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge, skills and leadership in teaching and curriculum / program development at the tertiary education level, and a proven ability in the administration of University courses and programs.
Associate Professor, Level D: $136,454 - $150,331 per annum. Salary packaging including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $159,652 - $175,888 per annum.
Professor, Level E: $175,772 per annum. Salary packaging including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $205,604 per annum.
