Christian Rück’s research group in the Division for Psychiatry focuses on making a difference for psychiatric patients by:
- Developing innovative treatments, evaluate them in trials and then implement them internationally.
- Understanding the origins and consequences of mental disorders, especially OCD and related disorders
- Understanding who responds to CBT by means of analyzing large amounts of multimodal data including genetic data and using AI to optimize prediction.
We have aggregated rich phenotypic data on 4000 patients treated with CBT and are also part of a large NIH-funded study (NORDiC) on the genetics of OCD and related disorders. Professors James Crowley and Manuel Matheisen are affiliated to the group and we work very closely with Prof. David Mataix-Cols’ and Prof. Patrick Sullivan’s groups at Karolinska Institutet. We now want to add research assistant to our trans-disciplinary team.
We are looking for an individual who can manage register and genomics data together with our partners. The successful applicant is expected to be involved in several projects in in our larger project on treatment response in CBT. In this project data on 4000 individuals have been gathered including genetics, phenotypic data over multiple time-points and register data. The applicant would also be involved in the NORDiC study to answer questions about disorder etiology. Another data source is the Swedish Twin Registry with multiple cohorts with relevant data regarding OCD and related disorders. The applicant would also be involved in the numerous consortia and collaborations that we take part in and experience in such processes is valuable
The applicant should have obtained at least a masters degree in in epidemiology, public health, bioinformatics, or directly related field and experience with register-based data is requirted. Formal training in psychology is expected as understanding psychological treatments is essential for this post. The research assistant will be expected to manage studies, enter and quality control data, take part in analyses and prepare manuscripts for publication. The applicant should have experience in conducting research studies in epidemiology or genetics.
