DATA ADMINISTRATOR, Office Of Sponsored Programs (OSP), to be responsible for reviewing, establishing, and maintaining all sponsored program awards using Kuali Coeus, MIT’s enterprise grants management system. Will assume primary responsibility for evaluating sponsor requirements related to authorized total and indirect costs and determining appropriate account setup; recording period of performance, cost sharing requirements, applicability of expanded authorities, invoicing, billing, and reporting requirements (both technical and fiscal); and ensuring appropriate compliance approvals are in place prior to award activation. Will also serve as a resource to OSP administrators on appropriate award setup and interact regularly with other offices within the Institute to ensure accurate reporting and closeout of sponsored awards; maintain and generate reports in BrioQuery and/or Cognos and develop appropriate documentation; and be involved in the testing of new software functionality.
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or related field; at least two years of experience in one or more aspects of sponsored program administration (preferably in a university environment) and/or financial review or related experience; ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; ability to quickly learn and master complex systems, both internal and external and to understand the interdependencies involved when updating and manipulating those systems; strong oral and written communication skills; and experience with document writing for processes and systems. Advanced Excel skills preferred, as is experience with enterprise-wide systems including SAP and Coeus or Kuali Coeus and BrioQuery and Cognos or other reporting software. Job #16760-O
