FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR, Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF), to oversee VPF’s overall budget and financial management and cost controls. Will conduct financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management; handle financial management and operations; and oversee a variety of administrative functions/services. Responsibilities include leading efforts to establish VPF’s annual budget and measure, forecast, and report on financial performance comparing budgetary assumptions throughout the fiscal year; conducting a range of financial analyses to support organizational budgeting and financial planning; leading administrative initiatives, including emergency preparedness and office space management; and evaluating and analyzing departmental administrative processes and, if needed, recommending solutions to enhance customer service and to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. May partner on or lead a team for various ongoing department initiatives or serve on VPF or other Institute committees.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; five years’ financial and administrative operations experience and with budget forecasting and financial analysis; three years’ experience with the consistent and active use of complex reporting systems, preferably SAP, Brio Query, and Data Warehouse; demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to effectively communicate across functions, manage changing and conflicting priorities, build consensus, set priorities, and understand formal and informal organizational structures and relationships; diplomacy, tact, and discretion with sensitive and confidential matters.  Experience with the review and/or negotiation of supplier contracts preferred; as is knowledge of MIT policies, procedures, and operational systems.  Job #16757-P
