An opportunity has arisen to become part of the Security Team which supports our students, staff members and visitors. You will be the ‘face’ of the University, dealing with everything from accidents to crime, ensuring the campus is safe and secure, assisting in running a busy CCTV and control room and offering support and advice.
You will receive excellent training and support and work closely with Surrey Police.
Ideally you will hold an SIA qualification, but training can be given to the right candidates. It is essential for this role that you hold a full and current driving licence.
Please be aware the working hours for this role are shift work and an enhanced DBS check is required for this position (at offer stage).
With a forward-thinking approach and strong links with the veterinary profession and world-leading research laboratories, Surrey has a growing reputation in the field of veterinary medicine and science. Our new £45 million School of Veterinary Medicine buildings opened in October 2015 and our Veterinary Biosciences degree is ranked number one in the UK by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016.
In return we offer a generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, excellent development opportunities, childcare assistance and discounted leisure facilities.
