Due to the continued growth and success of our undergraduate and postgraduate Aviation Management teaching both at Coventry University and overseas, we seek to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with appropriate academic experience and / or a professional with practical experience of airline/airport operations management or experience in aviation finance and/or business development/strategy to join our current team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses and CPD, both in the UK and in locations overseas.
Ideally educated to at least Masters level or with appropriate professional qualifications and equivalent experience. Teaching or training delivery experience is desirable, although the University will provide appropriate professional development for the right candidate. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical, oral and written communication skills and team work.
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning atthe heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and support the school's research culture. You must be willing to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as be willing to potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners for periods of up to two weeks at a time.
Successful candidates will be encouraged to become research active. Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, as well as participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.
The position is also open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice, development and management.
