We are seeking an individual who will undertake tasks that include month end reporting, variance analysis, procurement management, assisting in quarterly and annual budget preparation. This is a complex area that requires a high level of interaction with colleagues from Facilities and it is essential that you can communicate effectively and in particular are able to present numerical information to non-financial managers. As a minimum you must be a part qualified CCAB accountant with a minimum of three years previous experience gained from working in a management accounts environment. Ideally you will also hold a first degree in a numerate\business subject. To be successful in the post you will need to be self-motivated and able to demonstrate that you can work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and are able to manage your own workload to ensure specified deadlines are met.

Role Description

Cranfield is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University specialising in Creating Leaders in Technology and Management and we are currently seeking a Facilities Accountant to join our Accounting Team supporting service departments.

This individual will undertake tasks that include month end reporting, variance analysis, procurement management, assisting in quarterly and annual budget preparation. This is a complex area that requires a high level of interaction with colleagues from Facilities and it is essential that you can communicate effectively and in particular are able to present numerical information to non-financial managers.

As a minimum you must be a part qualified CCAB accountant with a minimum of three years previous experience gained from working in a management accounts environment.  Ideally you will also hold a first degree in a numerate\business subject. To be successful in the post you will need to be self-motivated and able to demonstrate that you can work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and are able to manage your own workload to ensure specified deadlines are met.

Substantial experience of working with computerised accounts systems and Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is essential.  Previous experience of the Agresso finance system would be desirable, but not essential.
