Situated within the College of Business, the School of Vocational Business Education (VBE) offers a broad range of globally oriented, applied training and education, from Certificate to Associate Degree level, nationally and internationally (Indonesia and China) to approximately 4000 students.

The Financial and Legal Services Industry Group offers programs from Certificate IV to Advanced Diploma to both local and international students. Our programs offer students the opportunity to work on real and authentic industry based projects that are supported and offered by industry partners including Global Work Integrated Learning Projects offered through partnerships in USA and delivering outstanding 'Work Ready' outcomes for graduates.

The Role & Experience Required

The School is currently inviting expressions of interest for sessional teachers to join its Legal Practice and Conveyancing programs for Semester 1, 2019.

Subject expertise is required in the fields of:

  • Contract Law
  • Tort Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Civil Procedure
  • Legal Practice and Technology
  • Business and Corporate Law
  • Property Law and Conveyancing
  • Administrative Law
  • Evidence Law
  • Family Law
  • Intellectual Property
  • Wills, Probate and Administration
  • Legal Research Methods
  • Property Law
  • Commercial law

To be successful you must have:

TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or

TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:

  • TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and
  • TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B as a minimum qualification.

Appointment is subject to passing a Working with Children Check

A Bachelor degree or postgraduate qualification in the relevant program discipline is highly regarded.

Please note that Semester 1 classes begin from 11 February 2019 and successful applicants must be available to start prior to this date.
