PRO VICE-CHANCELLOR (STUDENTS)
- Fixed Term, full-time appointment (to December 2019)
The Pro Vice Chancellor Students portfolio encompasses a dynamic and fast-paced award winning university careers service which is reframing its structures to continue to be at the forefront of innovation in employability. The Graduate Career Development and Employability (GCDE) Unit supports the career development needs of more than 17,000 students annually through 400 programs.
GCDE provides key learning opportunities for students through our curricular and co-curricular programs with a focus on work-integrated learning, career development learning, entrepreneurship and employability. We are strategic in our actions and in our aim to create ‘career ready’ graduates who can successfully navigate the changing world of work.
GCDE’s Administrative Assistant provides the first point of contact for students and employers accessing the careers service in person, online or by phone. In addition to providing information and advice to the Unit’s client groups, the role processes all job board posting requests and the day-to-day financial transactions for Careers Central’s fee for service options. It also administers staff travel requests and provides critical logistical support to ensure effective delivery of some 400+ employability programs to the UOW student community.
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated high level customer service skills and experience working in a team environment – and will thrive in a student-centred environment.
You will be required to address the selection criteria in the online application.
