We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team within the University of Surrey’s Doctoral College. The Doctoral College is a recent initiative that was established to support the academic and professional development of postgraduate and early career researchers and to ensure our world-leading research continues to grow.
Within this newly created role, you will make a significant contribution to ensuring that an excellent experience is delivered to our key stakeholders, including doctoral students, early career researchers, and academic supervisors. You will build on our strong track record - we are ranked 7th in the 2018 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey - to help ensure that our services continue to be timely, relevant and state-of-the art. You will interact with our stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure that an open dialogue exists between the College and its service users and to ensure that the Doctoral College is recognised as the hub for all things doctoral- and early career researcher-related.
A good team player, you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be a self-starter and adept at promoting services and understanding stakeholder needs. You will work closely with staff across a range of academic and professional services departments including academic Faculties and departments, the wider Doctoral College and Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions.
The University of Surrey is amongst the highest achieving universities in the United Kingdom, having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016. We are ranked 10th in The Times Higher Education Table of Tables for UK universities in 2017, and we are the recipient of four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes.
