Lecturer in Child Nursing
Health And Wellbeing
Grade 7 - £34,189 to £38,460 dependent on experience
The Department of Nursing and Midwifery is a large, vibrant community of academics, practitioners and researchers with a commitment to providing high quality teaching to ensure active learning. We are part of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, the largest provider of healthcare education in the England.
You will join a team of academic practitioners, teaching and supporting student nurses on the pre-registration programme, including our degree and postgraduate diploma. You will also be involved with a range of post-registration teaching to registrants accessing our extensive CPD portfolio. There will also be opportunities to be involved in research and project work.
If you are passionate about children's nursing and education then we would love to hear from you. You will need previous experience of teaching, training or supervising undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students or other healthcare professionals in a clinical practice or academic environment. You must also be registered with the NMC as a child nurse.
If you are offered this post you will be subject to an enhanced with barred lists check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
We particularly welcome male and black and minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented in this area
For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa), so you should only apply if you already have unrestricted permission to work in the UK.
