The Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing has a vacancy for a Senior Clerical Assistant based within the Faculty Registry. You will be part of a team responsible for providing Registry support across a wide range of Registry functions including extension or deferral requests, monitoring, collection and distribution of coursework and archiving. You will work closely with undergraduate and postgraduate students advising them on all aspects of assessment.
In addition you will deal with queries from external organisations and liaise with a variety of staff both in the Faculty and across the University, contributing to the efficient and effective administration of the Faculty by delivering good customer care to all students and staff, resolving queries in a helpful and efficient manner. You will be organised, be able to manage and prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
You should have a good standard of education up to and including 3 A-levels (grade A-C) or equivalent; and GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent.
You should have significant experience of using Microsoft Office, a variety of software packages and computerised management information systems. Good communication skills are essential.
