The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) at The University of Queensland provides an information environment that supports the teaching, learning, research and engagement objectives of the University and contributes positively to the student experience and the University’s reputation, in line with our values of Service, Team, Accountability and Results. It delivers network, systems and IT infrastructure support to the University, and application development. Also located within ITS is the internationally recognised network security group, AusCERT, which provides Internet security services throughout Australia and New Zealand.
ITS manages core networks not only for the whole of The University of Queensland but also works with other Queensland universities to manage access to the national university network (AARNet). ITS also operates research computing infrastructure and hosts many of the University’s largest servers.

The successful appointee will champion, inspire and create a DevOps and Continuous Delivery culture within the application team, collaborating closely with other ITS teams, whilst working closely with software delivery teams to identify opportunities for improvement / automation in processes, software development, release & test framework.
Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines. You should also have a strong drive and passion for a continuous improvement regime with a significant focus on automation. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff across multiple disciplines and management levels, building positive relationships that encourage mutual respect, cooperation, and collaboration.
It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $83,633.65 - $91,350.33 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17%.
