A Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available for an outstanding and ambitious energy networks / power systems engineer to undertake research in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) networks and (Big) Data applications for advance multi-energy networks monitoring and control, all within the Supergen Energy Networks Hub. The Supergen Energy Networks Hub will provide leadership, research and networking, for the energy networks community to grow and come together to develop a deeper understanding of the interconnected and interdependent energy network, e.g. electricity, heat, gas, hydrogen etc., infrastructure. We are now recruiting researchers to deliver an exciting programme of work as part of the Hub team.
You will hold a PhD (awarded or nearing completion) in a relevant engineering domain and an excellent relevant first degree or postgraduate degree. Expertise in energy networks and the ICT and Big Data applications in monitoring and control of multi-energy networks is essential.
You should have proven ability to work independently with excellent time management, possess strong mathematics and data analysis skills, and be able to present and communicate results in an effective manner. Skills related to ICT, application of novel sensors, e.g. Phasor Measurement Units, knowledge extraction, or situational awareness, would be particularly welcome. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from other disciplines and industrial partners.

The post is available immediately on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 30 September 2022.
