The successful appointee will be responsible for managing production and characterisation of biocomposites and will have access to state-of-the-art facilities within our polymer group at the School of Chemical Engineering. There are also opportunities to work with industry partners, namely Norske Skog and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA).
Applicants should possess a PhD in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or thesis submitted before the start date of the position.
You should have demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in materials processing, particularly extrusion and materials characterisation – particularly PHA based biomaterials.

This is a full-time, fixed term for 2 years at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $78,552 - $87,535p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $91,905 - $102,416p.a.).
