FINANCIAL ANALYST, Dean for Student Life (DSL)-Administration, to be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis functions within DSL’s Financial Services group, a service-oriented team that supports the decision making requirements of a complex set of programs, businesses, and operations within DSL. Will handle management report preparation, variance analysis and outlook forecasting to monitor financial resources, and annual budget preparation. Responsibilities include acting as a resource for DSL; answering questions about budget, financial, and business performance; assisting with resolving policy and procedural issues; performing financial transactions as needed to support the group; and will functioning collaboratively with other members of the Financial Services team to achieve common goals and desired outcomes.  Will report to the assistant director of finance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years’ related experience; high-level proficiency with Excel and relational databases; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships with clients and successful track record of collaboration toward achieving objectives; strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skill; attention to detail; ability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines; and demonstrated ability to understand and listen to the needs of others and develop services to most effectively meet those needs.  Seek a self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to think conceptually, communicate effectively, and work both as a member of a team or independently as the particular assignment requires.  Proficiency with SAP highly desirable.  MIT experience a plus.  Job #16747-P
