A vacancy has arisen for a full-time, fixed two-year, horticultural trainee post funded by: Friends of the University of Bristol Botanic Garden and the Stanley Smith (UK) Horticultural Trust.

Based in the Botanic Garden you will receive on the job training in a wide range of horticultural tasks and work with the garden’s extensive plant collection. You will be introduced to the educational work of the garden as part of your training and attend, depending on your previous experience, the Royal Horticultural Society’s Level 2 or Level 3 theory & Level 3 practical courses at the garden.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is committed to a career in horticulture and wants to work and study with a dynamic team of staff and volunteers to help deliver the educational, outreach and event work in support of the Garden’s Mission.

The expected start date is 14th January 2019.

Informal enquires can be made to Nick Wray, Botanic Garden Curator - Nicholas.Wray@bris.ac.uk

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 18th November 2018.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
