This project is funded by the MRC (Confidence in Concept) programme. In partnership with the NHS, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust, this project has involved the development of a computerised assessment task of cognitive ability.
You will be required to collect provisional psychometric data with traumatically brain injured (TBI), stroke and mild cognitively impaired (MCI) groups. You will also be required to collate the patients treatment as usual (TAU) information for later comparison with the product data.
You will need a range of skills and experience including:
- Sound knowledge of neuropsychology and/ or traumatic brain injury
- Knowledge of administering, interpreting and reporting neuropsychological results
- Ability to work with vulnerable groups and knowledge of their particular challenges
- Research skills including report writing, the ability to analyse complex data and the ability to document all key stages in research
Some experience of using psychometric tests would also be beneficial, but isn't essential.
