An exciting opportunity to work as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate has arisen as part of a 36-month KTP between Cranfield University and Spinnaker International Ltd.

As a KTP Associate you will be based at Cranfield Defence and Security, based at Shrivenham and work in conjunction with Spinnaker International Ltd.

Role Description

In this role you will assist with the design and fabrication of an improved and enhanced cash-box which has a significant uplift in its ability to prevent crime and protect cash. This could be achieved by using pyrotechnics, propellants and/or gas generators as part of the product development with Spinnaker International Ltd.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of a BSc in Science and /or Engineering, or the equivalent. You will have experience in evaluating concepts and designs and implications of design change on manufacturing, product quality and safety, and theoretical and practical knowledge of the physics and chemistry of materials.  You will be able to identify and develop solutions based problems and areas of improvement, and interpret and implement standards, procedures and specifications, as well as possess strong oral, visual and written communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.

You will have access to a development budget and the possibility of studying for an MSc or PhD.
