Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The position of Research Assistant provides academic support to the senior researchers (principal investigators) in all phases of the research project and assist in implementing the research projects and research-related activities of the Institute.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and assistance to the researchers (principal investigators) in all phases of the research project, including proposal preparation, fieldwork planning, data collection, analysis, and dissemination
  • Participates in writing papers, articles, and reports from the findings of surveys conducted by the Institute, in collaboration with the principal investigator
  • Prepares progress reports or other reports related to survey management as requested by the principal investigator
  • Attends and actively participates in meetings and research-related events as requested by the Head of Research and/or the principal investigator and as deemed necessary for the Institute’s benefit
  • When possible, to assist in setting up training activities relevant to the work of the Institute, in coordination with the Administrative Assistant and/or other relevant parties
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as health, education, sociology, political science, economics)


  • Excellent level in English and/or Arabic (both written and verbal)  


  • Expertise in Research
