The role 


Durham University Business School, with full international accreditation and a Financial Times Top 100 rank, is investing in posts at all levels, and across several disciplines as part of our ambitions to become a Top 20 European Business School. Among other vacancies, we seek to appoint four Associate Professors in the Department of Management and Marketing, which is one of three ‘research-intensive departments who share the ambition to advance world-changing knowledge and secure global impact through increasingly collaborative research across disciplines with colleagues in Durham University and beyond.

Our central purpose it to create, share and use knowledge to deliver equitable and sustainable futures around the world. Accordingly, we seek to recruit research and teaching colleagues with the drive, vision and talent to elevate our research activity and environment. We are looking for future colleagues who will lead and contribute to the development to world-class publications, creation of intellectual capacity through the generation of research funds and the delivery of new knowledge that has a discernible influence on academic thought and documented impact beyond academia. Associate Professor in Technology, Innovation, and Operations: this post is required to build the research leadership capacity in technology, innovation and operations as key elements of strategic subject for the School’s future growth and collaborative programme development. There is an identified need for intellectual capacity and leadership in fields connected to disruptive innovation that interface with other business school disciplines and subjects across the institution, such as engineering. The appointment will also contribute to the design and delivery of the international collaborations.
