The Professional Services Group supports the College, Schools and Institutes in the successful delivery of their objectives. The Professional Services Group achieves excellence in services by partnering and collaborating with academic staff, students and external partners, through embracing diversity of ideas to coming up with innovative solutions. The College IT Teaching Support group is responsible for the provision of IT services to the various Linux and specialist computer teaching labs within the College and the supporting servers and web infrastructure. We work alongside colleagues in ANU Central IT Services to provide high-availability services to the students, lecturers and tutorial staff of the College.
This position is a continuing appointment to contribute to development and administration of the College’s information technology teaching facilities. The successful applicant will have strong Linux system administration skills, sound experience with scripting languages such as bash and Python, as well as good experience with deploying open-source software in web-server environments. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to clearly document complex system processes is a must.
