About the opportunity 

We are looking for a Teaching and Curriculum Coordinator to deliver highly effective administrative teaching and curriculum related support to academics and students. The role also provides expert advice and input into the development of teaching and curriculum support strategies, including meeting accreditation requirements and relevant policy and planning.

Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating processes for a variety of teaching activities (e.g. timetabling, examinations, special consideration, prizes and scholarships);
  • Facilitating and implementing program evaluation and improvements for coursework-based programs of study;
  • Assisting Academics and professional staff with general policy interpretation and other procedural issues related to teaching and curriculum support services;
  • Creating and maintaining relevant databases, spreadsheets and contact lists to support learning and teaching activities, e.g. examination invigilators, tutor expressions of interest and teaching allocations;
  • Preparing, reviewing and updating documentation for the School’s staff about teaching and curriculum using the intranet, web, manuals and other media as required.

  • Experience working in a tertiary environment using Learning Management Systems (such as Blackboard), together with sound understanding of timetabling/rostering of student activities;
  • Excellent time and workload management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and achieve positive outcomes;
  • Excellent and tactful communication skills;
  • Extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment.
