Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Bioinformatics jointly held in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Science, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract, subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline, with research areas related to medical big data analysis. They should be able to demonstrate strong commitment in research and teaching. A solid track record in research and post-graduate student training are essential. Preference will be given to those who have extensive research experience in applying biostatistics, mathematical modelling and/or bioinformatics tools to interrogate high-throughput omics data for application in personalized medicine. Applicants should also possess effective communication skills, and have a strong interest in collaborating with different clinical and research groups to address various scientific questions. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
