Project Coordinator in Center for Instructional Technology
In this position, you will oversee and participate in the planning and management of Duke Learning Innovation supported research projects and programs including Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol development, data collection, documentation, and data set preparation. You will also assist center directors in other project related activities. This is a 2-year term position with the possibility of renewal.
- Perform a variety of duties involved in collecting, interpreting,documenting and summarizing descriptive, analytical and evaluative data in support of research and informational gathering activities
- Analyze data from Duke’s guiding resources ecosystem to understand trends and needs around learning technologies
- Apply established procedures to data entry tasks and develop strategies for analyzing data to answer questions
- Implement and lead systems designed to monitor the collection,storing, cleaning and dissemination of data related to specific projects as required to assist Learning Innovation research initiatives and faculty-led research
- Maintain regular contact with project participants including researchers, project personnel,participating subjects, and other interested parties to establish a communication system to handle the various aspects of the project; respond to inquiries about the project according to established policies and procedures
- Assist in preparing and disseminating reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions as requested
- Conduct routine data analysis tasks following documented procedures
- Build online surveys using web-based tools and analyze data collected via these instruments

- Preferred: Master’s degree in a social science field

Excellent written communicating skills; clear, concise, and error-free writing skills; excellent social skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to carry out duties and lead multiple tasks with limited supervision; ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and effectively.
