Location: Sutton Bonington
Salary: £18,189 to £21,414 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based at the Sutton Bonington Campus.
The post is a BBSRC funded International Wheat Yield Partnership grant entitled ‘Isolation of genetic variation for flowering morphology for hybrid wheat production’. The role holder will work as part of the wheat introgression team at the Nottingham/BBSRC Wheat Research centre at the Sutton Bonington Campus. Specifically the role will involve responsibility for the growth, maintenance and monitoring of plants in a glasshouse, routine molecular biology procedures, floral trait analysis, general laboratory techniques and microscopy.
Candidates should have two A levels in relevant subjects. A BSc in a relevant subject would be an advantage. Previous experience of working with plants and especially wheat or other crop plants would be an advantage. Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate successfully with supervisors.
This is full time fixed term contract offered until 14 November 2021. Job share arrangements may be considered.
