Appointment as Head of Department of Building, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore (NUS)

The vision of the Department of Building is to become a global leader in project and facilities management.  The Department offers an undergraduate honours programme in Project and Facilities Management, as well as taught graduate programmes in “Building Performance and Sustainability” and “Project Management”.  It also offers higher degree programmes by research. The two broad areas of research focus are in Project Management and Facilities Management. Information about the Department can be found at 

The Department Head is the main academic and administrative officer of the department.  He/She has the primary responsibility and authority for: 

a)    Leadership in developing high quality academic programmes (both curricular and research) to be in line with the objectives of the Department, School and University; 
b)    Leadership in the implementation of University policies and programmes at the Department level;
c)    Leadership in developing resource requests and managing an appropriate departmental budget; and 
d)    Service on the School Board or Executive Committee. 

The successful candidate should have an earned doctorate in a discipline relevant to the Built Environment, have experience and credentials suitable for appointment as a Full Professor in NUS and evidence of leadership.
