About the Job

The Research Associate will contribute to grant-funded research under the broad direction of the Head, Gene Regulation Section, in order to achieve defined objectives and test stated hypotheses. The project involves investigating the functions of circular RNAs, their interactions with microRNAs, and their involvement in cancer.

Skills and Experience

You will have previous experience in research on microRNAs in cancer, demonstrated by high quality publication.  Experience with molecular biology techniques including molecular cloning, luciferase reporter assays, RNA immunoprecipitation will also need to be demonstrated.

High level organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to research will ensure success in this position.

A postgraduate qualification in molecular biology or a related discipline. Including demonstrated participation in relevant areas of research and knowledge of literature involved in, and laboratory procedures relevant to, the research project/s.
