The Library Services Centre provides a range of specialist information services that enable the students and staff of Edith Cowan University to achieve their teaching, learning, and research goals. Within the context of a changing academic environment, these services include management and provision of information resources in various formats, specialist information support to research and teaching staff, information literacy programs, and management of vibrant library spaces.
This is an opportunity to join the Library team as we work to grow and improve our services and programs, finding new ways to enhance and develop the skills our students will need to thrive in their careers and contribute to their communities. The position would suit someone who has an innovative, flexible approach and who can contribute to a changing environment.
Reporting to the Associate University Librarian, Library Experience, the Planning and Training Adviser will plan and coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of vibrant programs for Library staff that ensure consistency of approach and exemplary service levels for diverse customer groups in varied locations. This newly created role will also work closely with the Library Leadership team to coordinate and review the Library’s planning and evaluation activities.
- Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline with demonstrated experience in coordinating staff development and training programs preferably within a Library setting.
- Experience in all aspects of customer service, and an ability to translate this experience into the creation of training programs for staff preferably within a Library setting.
- Superb planning and analysis skills

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $85,911 to $96,451 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
