The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.

The Role & Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Student Integrity leadership team, you will be required to assist with the co-ordination, investigation and resolution of cases that are handled by the unit, in accordance with the office's Academic Policies and Processes. With strong communication skills both written and verbal, you are confident in providing expert advice to management and to senior staff on best practice Student Integrity issues across the sector. This role also plays an important part in identifying and reporting on systemic, policy and procedural issues, and as a result, experience in this area will be highly regarded.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have experience in the provision of executive support to formal committees, preferably in a higher education institution or within a complex environment. You will also have proven capacity to negotiate solutions and outcomes in a complex and ambiguous environment with an understanding of relevant legislative and policy frameworks, preferably associated with the Higher Education and Vocational Education sector. Key to this role will be your negotiation skills, specifically in complaint management, customer service environment or mediation.
