The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Industry Fellow is part of a continuing initiative to establish teaching and research synergies in the postgraduate area within the School of Design. The Industry Fellow will report to Dr Ross McLeod, Program Manager, MDIT and will engage in design practice research within the interdisciplinary area of Design Innovation and Technology. They are expected to actively promote the MDIT program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.

Applicants with expertise in parametric modelling and digital fabrication are encouraged to apply. Expertise in the application of technology across the disciplines of architecture, engineering and industrial design is highly desirable, as is the demonstrated ability to work between computer interface and production workshop environments.

Skills & Experience Required

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate ability to prepare and deliver courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials, demonstrated evidence of industry experience and leadership, and collaboration with academic institutions. You will have an emerging track record and recognition for within their discipline or profession evidenced by industry links, or publications, development of new research or technology implementation initiatives.
