The School of Education is a collegial, collaborative and creative space for teaching, learning and research in the discipline of Education. The school recognises the value of education that is relevant and innovative and is therefore a dual sector school that works actively with industry, government and the community partners in real world settings to provide a range of programs from specially tailored intervention programs for young people at risk of leaving education to PhDs in education. These include tertiary pathways and workforce enhancement programs in Vocational education and teacher education programs in Higher Education.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Academic Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality academic and program administration within the School of Education.As the senior administrator will also be responsible for managing the student administrative staff by exercising initiative, judgment and delegation, where appropriate, to maintain an efficient, effective and cooperative team capable of meeting the School's needs. A main focus of the role is to develop and implement process improvements that will enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of the program work of the School.
Skills & Experience Required
You will have proven management experience and organisational ability in an environment committed to providing a high level of customer service. You will have demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality academic administration with a sound knowledge of relevant university policies and procedures across the Higher Education sectors. Furthermore, you will have the ability to analyse and interpret a range of information relating to academic and student administration support.
