An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join the University’s Capital Projects Department which carries responsibility for the delivery of the University’s building and infrastructure projects and programmes, providing a ‘turnkey’ service, from developing the initial brief, through the design, procurement and construction stages to the handover of a completed, fully functioning facility.

A key aspect of the role will involve managing the development of the halls of residences associated with our new campus near Temple Meads Train Station (TQEC), alongside our joint venture development partner. This will involve planning, monitoring and adjusting workload and resource utilisation, driving continuous improvement, providing strategic direction, whilst taking ownership for the quality and implementation of the scheme.

You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary design teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to direct the team to achieve the University’s requirements.

You will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, and have proven construction project management and contract administration skills. You will be comfortable communicating at all levels and have the drive to deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the brief.

Working as part of a successful and highly motivated team, you will be able to contribute to the development of the University at a time of major opportunity.

A good salary, generous holiday, as well as a friendly and engaging environment are part of the benefits of this rare opportunity.

For any informal enquiries please contact Roz Hime, PA to Head of Capital Projects -

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Wednesday 14th November 2018.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive
culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
