The Natural Resources Institute (NRI) (www.nri.org) is an internationally renowned multi-disciplinary centre of the University of Greenwich that undertakes research, consultancy and training to support sustainable development, food security, economic growth and poverty reduction in developing countries.
NRI is looking for a highly motivated individual capable of undertaking complex tasks associated with contract processing and subcontract management within a busy office environment. The successful candidate will join a small team of dedicated, contract professionals within NRI, supporting delivery of research, consultancy and capacity building projects with a combined annual turnover in excess £13 million.
On a daily basis, you will perform contractual tasks to ensure effective process of project contracts and subcontracts related to work based primarily overseas. As such the job demands a high level of understanding of procedures and practices involved with overseas work including understanding client and partner contracting procedures, in-house contracting procedures and client demands of donor funded research grants, service contracts and consultancy agreements. You will be familiar with contractual processes of the university sector and understand requirements of partnering on small, medium and large donor funded projects involving complex professional relationships.
As part of a team, you shall contribute to successful project execution according to University and client needs. You will have proven experience in a broad range of contracting procedures of a busy deadline-driven office environment preferably within the development arena.
