We are seeking a mathematician with a research program and teaching expertise in Operations Research or a closely related area to join our school and contribute significantly to our research and teaching efforts. This is a part-time (50%) position, with a service emphasis on building and maintaining connections with industry. Other duties include supervision of postgraduate and honours students, as well as administrative, outreach and other activities associated with the School.
Applicants will possess a PhD or equivalent in mathematics or a related discipline, with an established record of outstanding original research commensurate with career stage. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate how their research complements and supplements the School’s current research strengths. In addition, successful appointees will have high-quality teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the ability to effectively develop, lecture and coordinate mathematics courses, including service courses. Demonstrated supervisory experience of undergraduate and postgraduate students is also needed.

This is a part time (50%), continuing appointment at Academic Level C. The remuneration package will be in the range:
Academic Level C - $115,131 - $132,753 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $134,704 - $155,322 p.a.).
