SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (FULL-STACK ENGINEER)edX, to join a team that is taking a data-informed approach to improving edX’s existing products and building new ones. Will quickly construct lightweight prototypes, gather data, and then build high quality solutions.  Responsibilities include contributing to the engineering team by leveraging technical direction, priority setting, and execution/delivery skills; rapidly developing, deploying, and monitoring prototypes; designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable software systems; and understanding and leveraging key aspects of building operationally viable solutions.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED at least five years of software engineering experience; experience with Python or similar languages; and exposure to multiple technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Django, and MySQL. Seek someone who values teamwork, collaboration, and working in a rapidly evolving start-up atmosphere. A B.S. in computer science or related area preferred; as is experience with one or more of the following--data analysis and SQL, A/B testing and Optimizely, front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). Familiarity with standards-compliant front-end development and accessibility best practices also preferred.  Job #16728
